He founded several spin-off research companies, including Gelesis (www.gelesis.com), based in Calimera and Boston since 2012, with a total fundraising of over 130 million dollars and a NYSE ticketing. Member of the Executive Committee of ARTI Apulia and of the Board of Directors of the DHiTech Technological District of the Apulia Region, consultant for the Cotec, Foundation of the Presidency of the Republic, in 2011 he was appointed by the Minister of Health as expert of the Superior Council of Health for the Tissue Engineering. He has been praised by the Ethics Committees of over 50 leading international Clinical Research Centres for human studies on products developed by him.
